THE much anticipated fight for cruiserweight, Kevin Lerena, has eventually arrived. He will meet his opponent for the first time at the Emperors Explosion boxing tournament which will take place on September 9.
The tournament will be staged by Golden Gloves Promotion and hosted by Emperors Palace.
Kevin Lerena and Youri Kalenga came face to face before their fight on Saturday evening.
Lerena, who had to wait a few months to get into the ring after three boxers pulled out. Both Lerena and Kalenga have proven they are fit to take on whatever is coming their way on fight night.

They will be fighting for the IBO Cruiserweight crown and Lerena is adamant that he will be victorious while the The DRC-born Kalenga, who fights out of his France-based gymnasium said he fell short twice of snatching up the title, but it would be third time lucky for him this time round.
Other fights on the bill include up and coming Andre Thysse and Thulani Mbenge – one of the frontrunners in the welterweight division in South Africa who boasts a record of eleven fights with ten KOs. Mbenge will take on Jason Inson. On the cards is Rowan Campbell who will face Gerson Singo in the light heavyweight division.
