Old Lady on course for treble

We got one and now there are two to go! That must be the feeling among Juventus’ fans following their 2-0 win over Lazio to claim the Italian Cup.

The Old Lady has a chance to complete the treble this season. They are on top of the Serie A and need just three points from their remaining two matches to secure the league title.

They are also in the UEFA Champions League final.

A win over Crotone on May 21 will secure Juventus a sixth consecutive Scudetto. This will also be their record 33rd league title.

Crotone is fighting for survival and will want to pull off an upset to improve their chances of staying in Italy’s top tier league.

If Juventus wins the title, as expected, it will be well deserved, as they have been head and shoulders above the rest. Massimiliano, Allegri’s side, has been stubborn in defence, as they have conceded only 26 goals in the league this season. Roma, who are second, have conceded 33.

With 85 points, they are four points ahead of The Yellow and Reds who are battling for the runners-up spot with Napoli. The Light Blues are on 80 points.

Roma faces Chievo on Saturday while Napoli takes on Fiorentina.
