Ridge Park stages popular bowls tournament

Easter bowls at Ridge Park a success.

FIRST PRIZE: First prize-winners at the 2017 Easter Tournament who received R10 000 sponsored by Honda The Glen: Keith Kayton, club president Clyde Buchanan, Jackie Buchanan, Macelle Kalil, Graham Ferguson. Absent: Denise Mackenzie.

RIDGE Park bowling section held a successful Easter bowls tournament at their club.

SECOND PLACE GOES TO: The second prize of R5 000 from RAM Hand-To-Hand Couriers went to: Mike Marnewick, Lyn Marnewick, Louis Fourie, Uto Smith and Carol Ennion.

Generous sponsorships from various businesses made it possible for Ridge Park to stage a well attended Easter bowls tournament.

FOURTH PRIZE: Winning themselves R2 000 are: Greg Dubowitz from Introweld, Derek Boyd, Lyn Kruger, Pat Dubowitz from Introweld, Heatherlee Boyd and Willem Kruger.

A total of R20 000 in cash was won by the teams and in addition the remaining 16 participating teams received non-cash prizes. Apart from the cash, another sponsor of note was Pick n Pay Comaro, which contributed prizes and food. The club’s gratitude goes out to all sponsors and participants and they look forward to hosting the tournament again in 2018.

THIRD IN LINE: RAM Hand-To-Hand Couriers third prize of R3 000 went to: Mark Beckett, Ona Beckett, Pat Dubowitz from Introweld, Ella Oosthuisen, Carol Ennion and Sakkie Oosthuizen.
