Mitchell fund-raises for kids
Brian Mitchell golf day supports the Nashua Children's Fund.
THE annual Brian Mitchell golf day this year paid tribute to the Nashua Children’s Fund.
The golf day took place on Friday March 31 at Glenvista Country Club golf course and the proceeds of the day went to the Nashua Children’s Fund.
Mitchell is the former WBA, WBO welterweight champion and throughout his boxing career Nashua was his main sponsor. This year Mitchell paid tribute to the underprivileged by hosting a golf day.
Many children benefit from the Nashua Children’s Fund in various ways, such as through a feeding scheme and the provision of their basic needs.
Golfers who supported Mitchell’s efforts were Adam Bacher, former Proteas cricketer and Mark Williams, former Bafana Bafana and Premier Soccer League soccer player.
