IN less than two weeks, the Nedbank Cup – the only tournament that pits some of the country’s household names against lesser-known clubs from amateur structures – will kick off. The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced that tickets are now on sale to members of the public.
Nedbank Cup last round of 32 will kick off in the first week of March with the first fixtures pencilled in for Wednesday night, 2 March. Tickets can be purchased at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers stores nationwide.
Tickets for the last round of 32 fixtures will be R40 for adults and R10 for children under the age of 12. For the Soweto Derby fixture featuring Orlando Pirates against Kaizer Chiefs, which takes place on Saturday afternoon, 5 March, tickets will sell for between R100 (levels one and two), R80 (level five) and R15 for children under the age of 12.
The opening fixture will see Nedbank Cup debutantes Mthatha Bucks travelling to Cape Town to play Santos at Athlone Stadium, while Maritzburg United will host Black Leopards at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday, 2 March. Both fixtures will kick-off at 19:30.
The last day of the Nedbank Cup last 32 will be on Tuesday, 8 March, when Jomo Cosmos play Amazulu at Olen Park, and the Dube Birds, Moroka Swallows will take on SuperSport United at the Dobsonville stadium. Kick-off is at 19:30.
