Cell C Playing for Pink Ladies Invitational Polo: Polo raises awareness and funds for breast cancer

FASHION, entertainment and riveting polo action ensured the first annual Cell C Playing for Pink Ladies Invitational Polo event was one for the books.

The Cell C Playing For Pink Ladies Invitational Polo match between the Cell C team and Samsung’s Zimbabwean team took place on Sunday, October 4, at the Inanda Club and raised much-needed funds for Reach for Recovery, a non-profit organisation that helps women beat breast cancer and attain reconstructive breast surgery.

In order to support this worthy cause, six women and two men took to the Inanda green on horseback and at high speed whacked wooden polo balls with their long-handled mallets.

The Cell C team walked away with the top honours and secured a friendly 3-2 victory.
