MyPlayers Benevolent Fund supports Abraham Kriel Childcare

Abraham Kriel Childcare has once again been nominated as the beneficiary.

ABRAHAM Kriel Childcare (AKC) has once again been nominated as the beneficiary of the MyPlayers Benevolent Fund. The handover ceremony took place on July 15, during which a cheque was handed to Paul Momsen, chief executive of AKC, on behalf of a few Golden Lions rugby players.

Goodwill was not only received in the form of financial aid, as the players also spent time with boys from the various AKC campuses. The children were thrilled to interact and play rugby with their heroes.

Founded in 2013, the MyPlayers Benevolent Fund was launched by professional rugby players in South Africa and is the official charity organisation of the players. Professional rugby players in South Africa consider themselves very fortunate that they have the opportunity to live out their dreams of playing professional rugby. The rugby players feel that it is only fitting to give back and support communities who are less fortunate, by donating funds from the players’ business to charitable causes around the country.
