Debutant boxers get their chance to showcase skills in the ring.

DEBUTANT boxers will get the opportunity to showcase their skills at the first of four events which are scheduled for beginners in the profession.

Baptism of Fire Box ‘n Dine will take place on Wednesday, May 27, at 18:00, at Turffontein Racecourse.

The main fight for the evening will be between Rofhiwe Maemu and Tumelo Pedi. They will be fighting for the vacant Gauteng featherweight title over ten rounds.

Pedi has now moved to the Alan Toweel camp and has become a formidable boxer.

“This is all going to be about boxing science when the two get into the ring,’ said Toweel.
