HOëRSKOOL President High School competed in their first Inter-High Schools athletics meet. and also participated in the “Gees”-trophy or Spirit competition.
For the learners of President this was a first as well. It went brilliantly! President’s Spirit team was only 11 points behind the winners and their cheerleaders were two points behind the winners.
The athletes did well against the strong competition and came third. Although the athletes in red kept coming in first and second on the track, the strenght of the other schools kept President in third place.
President did not return empty-handed as Mandlakayise Shabalala was crowned the best u.17 boys’ athlete and the Senior Victor Ludorum. This is an amazing achievement and a well-deserved one for Mandla and for President.
President remains the only school with a full athletics team and a full “Gees” team in the South, and will want to rise even further in the coming years.
