AT the most prestigious provincial swimming competition of the season, Central Gauteng Aquatics Champs, which was held from December 18 to 21, 2014, Perfect Stroke Swimming’s team placed fifth overall.

This was achieved by each one of the small team’s five swimmers ranking in the top eight in the province in their respective age groups.

Leah White won silver in the 50m butterfly and bronze in the 50m backstroke; Cade Moreira won silver in the 50m breaststroke and bronze in the 100m breaststroke events; Erin Graham won a bronze medal in the 50m breaststroke and placed fifth in the 100m breaststroke; Matthew Estment placed fourth in the 200m backstroke and fifth in the 100m backstroke and 50m backstroke events and Brad Gunther who swam an amazing 58.29 seconds faster in his 1 500 freestyle event; qualifying to race at SSA Level 3 Nationals against the fastest in his age group in the country.

Leah, Cade and Erin also swam faster than they have ever before in all of the events they swam over the four day gala. With these improvements and achievements at the end of the year, we’re looking forward to an awesome 2015 for the Perfect Stroke Swimming coaches and swimmers.
