Turffontein Racecourse will stage its second night race meeting of the season on Tuesday December 2. There will be nine races for patrons to enjoy, and they will be run on the world-class Turffontein Standside track, which invariably attracts top quality horses.
The night racing is always plenty of fun for both racing purists as well as newcomers to the Sport of Kings. This is not only due to the thrill of watching and betting on magnificent thoroughbred race horses, but also due to Turffontein’s renowned in-house catering. On offer on the evening will be a dinner special, which includes a traditional lamb on the spit for only R100 per person. Between races there will be a live performance to help set the mood for a perfect evening.
With Joburg’s spectacular night skyline providing a perfect backdrop for a relaxed evening out, the dates to diarise for this year’s remaining night race meetings are December 16 and 30.
