South Hills boxers and Southern Suburbs boxers will face the rest of Gauteng in a jointly promoted tournament that will showcase some of the boxers of the Giant.

Southern Giant will now take place in November. Up and coming Paul Kamanga and Kaizer Mabuza will fight for the WBA All Africa title. Both boxers will be fighting from their Southern-based camps, Box Office and BRD Boxing Academy.

South Hills have a famous fighting brand by the name of Malajika, and most of the boxers at the club are in a good condition. Louie, Dino, Carlton, Mirinda and Ricardo Malajika will all be in action. Lizelle du Plooy and Samantha Pierdica are some of the women who will be in action on the day.

On the Southern Suburbs side the other half of the Kamanga brothers, Clement, will dust off against David Boalie from Alberton, and that’ll be a good warm-up for his headlining fight at the Giant against Nelson Raminhos. Alos on show will be Troy da Paiva, Reggie Magashoa from Fight with Insight, Warren le Roux, Siya Mabena and Arthur Hall. The main fight for the day will be the Malajika champ against an opponent who will test him.

The boxing starts at 13:00 at South Hills Recreation Centre on the corner of Geneva and Outspan roads, South Hills. If you would like to sponsor a bout or the event for the afternoon, contact Billy Hurford. 083 220 9408.
