Vodacom takes the Orlando Pirates vs Kaizer Chiefs Derby to new heights through live streaming and rewarding fans.

THE Derby between Orlando Pirates vs Kaizer Chiefs, both Southern-based teams – is without a doubt the biggest event on the soccer calendar. The game draws the biggest crowds in South Africa and is the highlight of all die-hard soccer fans. On November 1 at the FNB Stadium, these two teams will go head to head in their first ABSA League clash of the season.

Chiefs came out victorious at the last battle of the giants, but this is a new day and a new battle. While the outcome is unknown, what is certain is that it’s going to be memorable.

Vodacom, proud sponsor of both teams, is giving the power to the fans. For the first time ever, fans from all corners of the country will be able to follow the pre-match official press conference to be held on Thursday October 30 at 13:00 at Maponya Mall. The proceedings will be streamed live via Vodacom Youtube. Fans can hear firsthand what the coach and players have to say about the upcoming clash.

To bring the fans one step closer to the team, Vodacom is inviting the fans to ask the coach or captain a question, of which two questions will be selected for each team and will be asked at the press conference. The fans who posted them will each get five free tickets to the game. To get involved, Tweet your question using #vcsowetoderby.

Fans that can make the trip to Maponya Mall on Thursday October 30 at 14:00 will be able to have their photo taken with their favourite Orlando Pirates player at the Vodacom photo booth.
