AFTER winning both friendly and Regional competitions held in August, Suideroord resident Quintin d’Hotman de Villiers took part in the level 4 eleven to twelve years old and received good placing.
The Provincial Artistic Gymnastics competition was held on September 20 in Centurion where he achieved five first places out of six apparatuses – floor, pommel, rings, vault and high bar winning his age group.
He was awarded his senior Gauteng colours and qualified to represent the Gauteng Region at the National Gym Games in Cape Town on October 10. At Nationals he achieved three first places for pommel, rings and parallel bar, two seconds for floor and high bar winning first place overall in his age group.
He competed against 32 boys from five provinces. He has qualified to receive his Provincial Colours. Congratulations to De Villiers on all his success and hard work.
