All roads lead to Emerald Cup

Some of South Africa's finest performers including Lonehill Estate, Daniel Baron and Lloyd Cele will head to the Vaal Racecourse where they are expected to set the stage alight with their sounds.

ALL roads lead to the Vaal Racecourse on Saturday September 27, when music and thoroughbred horseracing will combine for a spectacular day in the sun at the annual Emerald Cup.

Some of South Africa’s finest performers including Lonehill Estate, Daniel Baron and Lloyd Cele will head to the Vaal Racecourse, where they are expected to set the stage alight with their sounds.

Top thoroughbreds will battle it out in the highlight of the Supreme Sand Racing Season. The Brazillian-bred winner of the August Stakes, Anger, will face off against a formidable field, including last year’s Emerald Cup winner, In a Rush, who will be defending his title.

Racing fan Tanita Pember will be amongst the throng of race goers who are set to experience the rush of a day at the races following her win at the August Stakes. Pember was the recent recipient of a two-night stay at the Emerald Resort and Casino. While entrance and kid’s entertainment is free, a variety of hospitality packages are available, including the return of the popular trackside catered braai sites.
