Top-prospect MMA athlete Luke Michael will be making his debut at EFC Africa 33 in Durban.

Michael is undefeated in the amateur ranks and is currently riding a seven-fight winning streak. He has dominated the local MMA scene and is ready to make his professional debut against tough opponent and takedown specialist Texier Kabesa from Germiston in Gauteng.

Stones national marketing and promotions manager Michael Schulz commented on the fit between Michael and the Stones brand, “Stones is excited to align our brand and support both behind Luke and EFC Africa. We are 100 per cent behind Luke as he embarks on his professional MMA career. Win or lose, Luke’s hardworking traits have convinced us that he is the right man to back in the ever popular Hexagon.”

Michael is in good spirits with a few days to the big night: “I’m super-pumped that Stones has stepped in to support me. It is a great feeling to be able to walk out to the Hexagon knowing that I have such a good company behind me.”

According to Luke’s business manager Mat Barlett things are about to explode: “Stones coming on board this early to support a young and upcoming fighter like Luke, shows that they are a company that is forward-thinking, MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world, and we can expect to see more quality brands bursting onto the scene and supporting South African MMA athletes.”

Michael will be competing against Texier Kabesa on August 30 in Durban.
