Another deal for Michael

Just days before his EFC Africa 33 debut Luke Michael has inked yet another deal.

Just days before his EFC Africa 33 debut Luke Michael has inked yet another deal and will be sponsored by professional security outfit Westpoint Protection Services.

With a strong interest in Mixed Martial Arts, Gary Kirkland, partner at Westpoint Protection Services, has been a strong supporter of MMA athletes in the past and he feels that it is Luke’s time to shine: “At Westpoint we know that Luke will attain the highest level in MMA; like his coach Rico Hattingh and the REPS MMA team, he is professional, dedicated and passionate about the sport. We believe that this combination is a winning formula.

“We believe that a sponsor must become part of a fighter’s family,” said Kirkland. “Coaches, managers and sponsors should all envisage the end result and be behind the fighter every step of the journey.”

Michael is glad to have such a passionate sponsor on board: “Gary has been a long-time supporter of our gym, and even donated the mats that we currently use. I am very happy that he has chosen to sponsor me directly as well. I am blessed to have such a solid sponsor on board.”

He trains out of the legendary REPS MMA gym in Bellville under head coach Rico Hattingh and Muay Thai coach Gregor Weichmann.

Michael will be competing against Texier Kabesa on August 30 in Durban.
