Lions need to force a win

The Lions will take on the Western Force in their last match of their overseas tour.

Lions need to notch up their long awaited win on their overseas venture to ensure some much needed log points.

The Lions will play Western Force this coming Saturday May 24 in Perth. Head coach Johan Ackermann has made wholesale changes in the front row, after experiencing a number of injuries in his side. He has named his 23-man side for this match.

In the forwards, Ackermann has made six changes, Corne Fourie, Armand van der Merwe and Ruan Dreyer all move into the starting front row berths, with Rudi Mathee and Franco Mostert the selections at lock. Warwick Tecklenburg is also promoted from the bench and joins the loose-forward trio for the game.

Meanwhile, in the backline, Ross Cronje will start at scrumhalf. Anthony Volmink comes into the starting XV at left wing. Alwyn Hollenbach has been drafted in at inside centre, while Deon van Rensburg will cover the outside centre berth. Coenie van Wyk will run out at fullback.

The match will kick off at 11:40 (SA time).
