Call for entries to SA Pork Kwai Challenge

Entries open for SA Pork Kwai Challenge.

WITH just over a month to go before the gruelling Comrades, Gauteng road runners are going through their paces. For those looking for a light training run, the SA Pork Kwai Challenge on May 11 at the Randburg Sports Complex affords a great opportunity.

Organised by Randburg Harriers, the event consists of a 21.1km, 10km and a 5km family fun run.

The 10km and 21,1km races will start at 07:00 and the 5km event at 07:15.

Go to www.entrytime.com to enter online or get an entry form at local sports stores or at the Randburg Sports Complex on May 9 and 10 between 11:00 and 16:00, and on race day between 05:00 and 06:45.

Entries close on April 30 and the first 1 000 online entries will receive a free commemorative T-shirt.

It is not all about running. The races will be followed by a fun Inter Club Braai competition sponsored by Eskort. Clubs will be judged by a team of celebrity judges, including road running legends Nick Bester and Bruce Fordyce.

Entry forms for the Inter Club Pork Braai have been sent to all clubs. To ensure your club is one of the 30 entries you can contact the event organisers on 0860 460 906 to speed up your club’s entry procedure. For more info go to www.sportsvendo.co.za.
