YOUNG up and coming boxers from the South will be showcasing their talent at Southern Warriors tournament.
Southern Warriors will take place on April 10 at Gold Reef City presented by BRD Boxing Academy and Gold Reef City.
An abundance of young boxers have taken up the sport and were allocated their licences to take up boxing as a career.
“We have enrolled quite a few youngsters at the gym and it is time for them to showcase their skills,” said Manny Fernandes from BRD Boxing Academy. “We endorse boxing development in the South and elsewhere, and received humble support from Gold Reef City to stage this very important tournament.”
The eight-bout card will also feature cruiserweight of fame, Deon Coetzee, and Khayina Hlongwane in the main bout over six rounds. They are evenly matched; Coetzee has 14 fights under his belt, while Hlongwane recorded 12 fights in his career. Boxers from BRD who will feature on the card are Linda Sifundza, Vusunuzi Nyawuza, Paul Magxilana, Tshifhiwa Munya and Nkosinathi Ntshangase.
Other boxers who will be in action are Dee Jay Kriel, Lukhang, Joshua Studdard, Ashton Davis, David Rajulie, Bonganie Bhuti, Lyanda Nkosi, Sibusiso Zingange.
