TENNIS South Africa’s Davis Cup official Iain Smith and Craig Herbst, Chairman: Irene Country Club Tennis, visited the special match court at the Irene Country Club outside Pretoria recently.
Smith and Herbst met to discuss preparations for the forthcoming Davis Cup tie, South Africa vs Monaco, to be played in Irene from Friday January 31 to Sunday February 2.
The court is being prepared at the country club for the tie that will seat 700. Entry is free and seats will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Two singles rubbers will be played on Friday January 31 from 10:00 following the opening ceremony, the doubles rubber on Saturday February 1 at 12:00 and the reverse singles on Sunday February 2 from 10:00.
