JEFFREY Cook participated in the prestigious Commonwealth and Oceania Powerlifting and Bench Press championship and brought home the gold medal.
The championship took place on December 5 and was held in Auckland, New Zealand. The RAW unequipped championship saw some 30 competitors in the same division as Cook competing for honours.
Cook competed in the u.93kg class Bench Press and lifted a solid 160kg to take top spot for South Africa.
He will be looking to compete in the World RAW Powerlifting Championship to be held in June in Pretoria.
