Nedbank takes on champions Kaizer Chiefs

The Nedbank Ke Yona team match against 2013 Nedbank Cup champions Kaizer Chiefs, initially scheduled for January 19, has been rescheduled to Sunday February 2 and will take place at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.

JOHANNESBURG – The kick-off has been scheduled for 15:00 and the match will be broadcast live on SuperSport 4 and SABC 1. Tickets will be available at R15 per person at Computicket.

The postponement will enable the nation to focus on supporting Bafana Bafana as they battle it out against Nigeria in the 2014 Champions of African Nations (CHAN) tournament currently taking place.

The Ke Yona team match is the realisation of a dream for 23 young superstars who were identified in the Nedbank Ke Yona team search, a nationwide talent search that took place in 2013.

“There is good quality in this team, I know that. The guys are all very positive for the game against Kaizer Chiefs and I honestly believe we can give them a run for their money,“ said defender Dumisani Mkhwanazi.

The Nedbank Ke Yona team is currently on a training camp at Dobsonville stadium this week, adding to what has been a series of training camps led by seasoned coaches Khabo Zondo, Mike Mangena, Owen da Gama and Shakes Mashaba.
