RAM Slam T20 Challenge cricket clash between The Unlimited Titans and Chevrolet Knights at SuperSport Park, Centurion on Sunday January 19 will now take place at 15:30 – starting one hour later than the time originally advertised.
Fans are welcome to arrive at the stadium from 14:30 when the gates open, and can make use of the stadium’s braai and picnic facilities at their leisure before the game.
“The later starting time will, we believe, be a lot more convenient for our fans,” said Jacques Faul, CEO of The Unlimited Titans. “The match should still be finished well before 19:00 which is ideal for family entertainment.
“We’re looking forward to seeing our team, including Faf du Plessis, Albie Morkel, Henry Davids and Farhaan Behardien, in action on Sunday – I know they’re going to put on an outstanding display of this fast-paced format of the game.”
In addition to the great entertainment offered by the cricket clash, SuperSport Park will be home to its first Shisa Nyama Challenge – a competition between four leading local shisa nyama outlets, a team from The Unlimited Titans (players not on duty on that day), to see who has the “best shisa nyama recipe!” A celebrity judge will name the winner after the game, with the competition taking place in the Castle Corner Terrace.
Fans are welcome to bring their own picnic baskets and non-alcoholic beverages in sealed plastic containers to SuperSport Park, although there are numerous food and beverage providers on site for the match. There are braai facilities at the stadium. Alcohol, glass or metal beverage containers, wood, charcoal, firearms and air horns may not be brought into the stadium.
