Well done, Johannesburg Water

Excellent examples of high quality service delivery.

Wow, two unexpected speedy responses by Johannesburg Water (JW) to problems I reported in the last week.

The first good response was a sewer blockage causing grey water to leak from a manhole cover near the ablution block just past the coffee shop at the Klipriversberg main entrance off Peggy Vera Road in Kibler Park.

I reported it on October 1 at 6.28pm. The next morning after I had emailed the report to customerservice@jwater.co.za I received a phone call from an employee from JW asking for details as to where he could find the oozing grey water.

The second good response was a reported pipe leaking under the road that caused seepage on the road surface outside 25 Allen Road, Glenvista. It was reported to the same email address at 10.17am on October 7.

When I travelled past the address the next day, an inspection hole had been dug in the road and I assume the pipe repair will be done.

Excellent examples of high quality service delivery.

Well done, JW.

What will be interesting to observe in this latter case is if Johannesburg Road Agency (JRA) will match JW in the reinstatement of the road surface.
