Residents of Ward 54 came out in their numbers to elect their new councillor who replaces Sergio dos Santos who was elected as a Member of the Provincial Legislature in the general elections in May.
DA candidate Stuart Marais was elected overwhelmingly with a 68.59 per cent majority.
Councillor Marais will ensure that the ward is serviced and that the interests of all residents in the ward are addressed. He is energetic and very motivated to being the best councillor he can possibility be in service of the residents.
The choice of electing him as councillor was absolutely the right choice.
Residents will see for themselves when they see the dynamism and vigour with which Marais will undertake his responsibilities.
