Good articles about Reuven old age home (COURIER October 24 and November 7 editions). It is time for the terrible corruption and fraud in this country to stop!
People are being used by having to pay these huge amounts, which often see the poorest of the poor sleeping under bridges and living in rooms in the back of people’s properties as they cannot get accommodation.
Their pensions are so low and it is too disgusting that people who can afford to live in normal homes take places at the old age homes away from the really poor people.
I am busy with a case of a man who lives in a little room and cannot get accommodation. He hardly has money to feed himself. The crisis is so bad and the worst is that so many people who live at the old age homes have their families, dogs who do not stop barking at night, young people moving into the old age homes and just so much more. What has happened to caring for the seniors who helped build our country?
