Small water streams in Mondeor contribute to the natural beauty of the area but there is a rapidly increasing amount of household rubbish, plastic bags and bottles that litter the place.
This rubbish heap is at the water drain between Mondeor recreation centre and Frandaph Drive. It appeared after a party which was held at the recreation centre and this is also the site of open gambling. Mondeor police is aware of this activity but no action is taken yet.

Another heap of broken glass bottles can be seen on Columbine Avenue, along the wall of the Piki Tup depot. People are sleeping in the park between the depot and the tennis court as a tent can be seen in the mornings. Incidences of theft and robbery have increased in this area also.
