Malls charging parents for kids to sit on Santa’s lap

Big was my shock when I took my child to see Santa and were told to pay to sit on his lap.

I want to address all malls in an open letter, because I find it very sad that children have to pay to sit on Santa’s lap and make a wish for Christmas.

I would like to think that the malls who we support, can at least give something back to the community that supports them, once a year.

Big was my shock when I took my child to see Santa and was told to pay to sit on his lap.

So the malls decide to rent out space to make money off a poor child’s dream, to sit and talk to Santa for a few seconds and have his/her parents take a few photos of them with Santa?

Surely you can afford to pay for a Santa for a few days, so the children can enjoy it for free? Or have you forgotten what Christmas is all about? I find it disgusting that you can’t spend some money on a Santa, while the parents support the shopping centres for the whole year. What about people who can’t afford to pay that money? What must they tell the child who wants a few seconds with Santa? It’s sickening.
