Gosling in desperate need of a prosthetic leg

I have a gosling (baby goose) that had his leg amputated at the knee. He desperately needs a special person or persons to help him walk again. He has a very strong will to survive, he swims, he cleans his feathers, he even tries to stand on one leg to get to his tummy feathers, …

I have a gosling (baby goose) that had his leg amputated at the knee. He desperately needs a special person or persons to help him walk again.

He has a very strong will to survive, he swims, he cleans his feathers, he even tries to stand on one leg to get to his tummy feathers, but not for long. He wants to do things like other goslings, but does not know he can’t.

I feel that he was sent to me so I can help him, but I can’t do it on my own. I have tried to make DIY legs, slings and have run out of ideas. He spends part of the day in a hammock with his leg and stump sticking through holes. Other times he will sit on the grass or in a container on a towel. He likes to huddle against me for comfort as well as support.

I will not give up as long as he has a will to thrive. He is now in God’s hands. I will continue to pray daily for guidance and strength as long as he needs it. I feel he came to me for a reason, I just need outside intervention as well as divine intervention.

He may just be a worthless animal to some, but to me he is God’s creation in need of help, I can’t turn my back on him. If you are an animal lover like myself, there is just no way to turn and walk away without trying to help in some way.

I have some kindhearted friends who will make a 3-D leg, but we don’t quite know how to go about measuring him for it. Please contact me if you can help in any way possible. There is nothing worse than knowing you are able to help but just don’t know how to do it.

Frustrated yet hopeful.
