I would like to take this opportunity to wish residents of Ward 124, a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
I know that some residents are planning to go on holiday during the festive season, but when you do undertake these holidays, we must ensure that the security of your place is guaranteed and safe. Ensure that you inform your neighbour about your pending holiday or, you leave some member of the family to look after your property, in the event that you are not registered with a Security Company.
The reason for this precautionary advice is, that we all know that during this time of the year criminals tend to be having Christmas on your properties when you are on holiday. Therefore, do not give them space to manoeuvre, and do not forget to leave your lights on, if you go to the shops.
To those students who sat for the 2013 matric examinations, I wish you all success in your results and, may you also have a merry Christmas and prosperous New Year in whatever you want to embark on in 2014. God bless you all.
