Your future is a jigsaw puzzle

When your dreams and goals are so strong and clear in your mind and on paper, they create magnetic power. Your magnetic power is to have a strong start.

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4, ESV)

Your dream as a vision of you in the future. Goals are steps that will help you build that vision.

The best is to think of your dream as a jigsaw puzzle and goals as loose pieces of this puzzle. You may have all the pieces of the puzzle but until you have a picture (vision) of a complete puzzle, those pieces will mean nothing to you. You’ll be like someone who has power but doesn’t know they have it.

When your dreams and goals are so strong and clear in your mind and on paper, they create magnetic power. Your magnetic power is to have a strong start. This power will pull you through into the future. When something pulls you through, it means there’s resistance but the pulling power is stronger than this resistance.

Even though you walk through the valley of death, fear, doubt, criticism, pain, etc, your dreams and goals – your picture (vision) of what lies on the other side of the valley – will comfort you and pull you through.

The farmer prepares the ground, plants the seed, eradicates weeds and waters the plants. Why does he do this? Because he has a vision of a full harvest at the end of summer. It is this vision (dream) that creates this magnetic power called faith and that’s when God takes over. So, are your goals specific and clear enough to lead you to your dream?
