Have you forgotten your worth?

When you truly know your worth, you would choose your relationships (friends and romantic) wisely, respect and use your time wisely.

“If you constantly find yourself trying to prove your worth to someone, know right there that you’ve either forgotten your worth or you don’t know it at all.” – Veli Ndaba

Did you ever give yourself time and space just to think about this?

How do you want to be remembered? If you were to celebrate your last birthday, who would you like to have in attendance and why? What would you like people from all walks of life, different age groups, different races to say about you and how you’ve lived and touched their lives since they were exposed to you?

Who would be at your first table? Second, third, etc?

You see, these questions to me, help one to think about the importance of living and the role one needs to play in it. I don’t think anyone wants to be easily forgotten shortly after they’ve died. This helps you determine your worth as a human being.

When you truly know your worth, you would choose your relationships (friends and romantic) wisely, respect and use your time wisely. You would choose what you read and what you spend most of your time doing. You won’t specialise in time-wasting activities, that’s when you know your true worth. Operating from the principle of Yonke insipho iya washa meaning ‘anything goes’ is not a very wise principle to base your life on. Take this time and do some introspection, look at what you are doing and ask yourself why you are doing it. Do you have a big picture or a master plan which this activity you are engaged in? This will wake you up from sleepwalking. The world needs you, give it your best.
