Almost every successful person begins with two beliefs in mind:
1. The future can be better than the present.
2. I have the power to make it happen.
Aristotle said it so well, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit.” It’s about doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.
Now, coming back to my opening statement. Do you believe that the future can be better than the present for you? Remember, life doesn’t give us what we want, but what we are. What we are, is what we believe is true for us. So, I can safely say that your belief system is like a magnet that attracts situations and people that are like-minded or with similar beliefs. This is how the world conspires with you.
If you really want to change the results you are producing, you need to align your belief system to what you want. There’s no way you’ll have a better future if you don’t believe in it. Study successful people that you admire and you’ll realise that they were just like you, if not worse, but they believed that the future was going to be better than where they were. They believed they deserved better and that they were worthy of success.
The second part is about you being convinced that you have the power to make it happen. You are a one-time miracle that was brought down here on earth by God to fulfil a particular purpose. You were not born with a physical manual of what you have to do, but your heart carries your desires which are an indication of what you are meant to do. The external voices and opinions of people have drowned your inner voice.
