Open that door

It is sad though that we were improperly programmed by the environment we grew up in.

“I feel very adventurous. There are so many doors to be opened and I am not afraid to look behind them.” – Elizabeth Taylor

The adrenaline you feel when you experience ‘fear’ is the same you feel when you experience ‘excitement’ – it’s only your mindset that makes it one or the other. Something to ponder.

Let’s be honest: no guts, no glory. The brave and the bold are those who excel. Nothing great is ever going to happen to people who hide under the rocks, who shy away from risk or never take chances. So, get up and start opening those doors. Don’t be afraid to open one after the other. It’s the only way to find out what lies behind that door. Don’t be shocked and waste time complaining if the door you’ve just opened leads nowhere. Move on to the next as it is more likely to be the one which leads you in the right direction.

Yes, it’s true when one door closes, another invariably opens. You just have to keep your eyes wide open. The opportunities are always going to be there. Life is meant to be an adventure, so tackle it despite your fear. The truth is, there’s no one in the world that has no fear. Brave people focus on the excitement of becoming and getting what they want rather than the fear of not getting it. That’s what makes the difference between winners and losers.

It is sad though. We were improperly programmed by the environment we grew up in. We were socialized to accept the status quo which doesn’t serve us right. Instead, we just complain, blame and criticise everyone about it instead of taking personal responsibility and fix what doesn’t serve us well. There’s nothing as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.
