What am I becoming?

As a life-coach and professional speaker I help people confront their challenges and discover parts of themselves they never knew existed.

“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” – Mae West.

Life is not about finding yourself, but about creating yourself. You either live your life by design or by default. The truth of the matter is that in exactly five years from now you will arrive – but the question is where? Will you arrive at a well-designed destination or a not so well-designed destination? These are the questions you must be asking yourself and addressing today.

Do you have a written plan that you are following that keeps you focused on what you want to achieve, or are you just coasting along and hoping that things will work out in your favour, someday in the future? This is living life by default and is suicidal. To build a house, car, phone, aeroplane and many other things you need a drawn-up plan with a complete picture that clearly indicates how it will look.

We all need to learn from this example of building a house. When you build your beautiful house you need quality material and qualified builders with a proven track record; you won’t just pick any building material of inferior quality or a person from the street. The same applies with your dream. Create a complete picture of what you want to be in future and carefully choose your building materials (people, books, audio, etc.) which will be of superior quality with what you are building. So, what are you building? What are you becoming? Is it by design or default?

Never comfort your problems, confront them – head-on! Joseph Campbell said it so well: “The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.”
