Cheers to your success

"Success is a progressive realisation of a worthy ideal," said Earl Nightingale.

“The moment you see successful people as an example of what is possible for you rather than an exception, will be the beginning of your own success.” – Veli Ndaba

As a professional speaker, author and life-coach, I am often asked what success is. Success is about self-expression, it’s about becoming and doing that thing that your heart feels at home whenever you do it. “Success is a progressive realisation of a worthy ideal,” said Earl Nightingale. So if you are a plumber, teacher, sweeper, nurse, etc. because you always wanted to be one and you are doing it so well, then you are successful. My purpose in life is to inspire people to realise their potential, self-worth and achieve their dreams. For me, I am successful because I am doing what I wanted to do and have become good at it.

Success to me is not an accumulation of materialistic things, but being the best that you can be and this can only be if you do what you always wanted to be and to do, not what other people want you to be. If you are conforming to other people’s expectations of you, then who will be you?

What is it that when you do it you become so excited like a kid in a candy store? This is something you never get tired of doing, that you never say it’s Friday afternoon or Sunday, that it’s too cold or too hot, something that you’ll sacrifice your television time, your friends and your sleep for, that one thing that, at times, you are mocked and ridiculed for. When you find that one thing, you’ll have found the key to unlock the Heavens of your mind and your life, and the hosts of Heaven and Earth will sing a happy song. This is you moment!
