What really has to happen to you…?

God has bestowed us with gifts and talents in their natural or raw state.

“We all have our mountains to climb and no one will climb yours for you, it’s yours to climb. Just be at peace with that, fair or not, it’s just the way it is.” – Veli Ndaba.

Some years back I bought my son one scoop of ice cream in a cone. He was about four years old at the time. A few minutes later the ice cream fell on a floor, leaving him with an empty cone; he couldn’t handle it. I felt sorry for my boy and bought him another one, but while in a process of buying him another one, he was negotiating with me to buy him two scoops this time around. The answer I gave him was: “My boy, I cannot buy you two scoops if you couldn’t handle one, it won’t work.”

God has bestowed us with gifts and talents in their natural or raw state. Ours is to dig them out from within, polish them to a shine. This digging and polishing cannot happen between 08:00 to 17:00 from Monday to Friday but in your spare time (after 17:00 and before 08:00 and on weekends). Most people complain that they are too tired after 17:00 and on weekends and instead switch their TV sets on to ‘relax’. The day you learn to switch off your TV set and switch on your life is the day God will give you more, because you will begin to focus and use the little he has given you. Remember the story in the bible about the parable of talents?

Stop blaming and criticising others, they won’t climb your mountain for you.

You have greatness within you, refuse to take it with you to the grave, it’s for the living not the dead.
