The Bag Lady

What's The Bag Lady been up to this week?

So now it looks like we are going to have water restrictions and from now on I’ll be using my “grey” water to water the plants, will have a shower instead of a bath, and I’ll try not to flush the toilet unnecessarily.  Well, I’ll try.

I remember way back in 1986/87 when we had water restrictions and watering the garden became a three day a week exercise instead of daily and only at a particular time and for a certain length of time.  For those with swimming pools don’t over fill or excessively backwash and when washing your car use a bucket of water instead of a hosepipe.

Christmas gifts

I’ve made a start and I have bought three Christmas gifts, as well as another three rolls of Christmas gift wrap.  Make a start now and you’ll be very thankful as December nears, seven weeks and counting. Next week some Christmas gift ideas.

Bouquet of the Week

My cellphone began to give me a problem this last week, with the battery dying after only half an hour of being fully charged! So off I went to MTN at The Glen (I wasn’t impressed with the service at the branch close to Flight Centre). The other branch of MTN next to Samsung has much friendlier and professional staff, thank goodness. Anyway I was advised it was the battery and I went to Samsung and bought another one. By the time I had walked through The Glen and was back by the MTN branch near to Flight Centre, the battery had gone from 60 per cent to 17 per cent so I went back in to explain the problem. The woman I saw said the new battery must be faulty……. so back to Samsung.

New Samsung store opened at The Glen Shopping Centre.

To cut a very long story short I was so impressed with the staff at Samsung. Apart from their professional friendly manner they seem to know exactly what they are talking about.  I was assisted by Tebogo Rathapane, who went out of his way to help me with my problems. You were great Tebogo and very patient.  I’ve decided I’m definitely technically challenged and if I could do without a cellphone I’d throw mine as far as I could! No, I’m really not joking.

That’s it for this week. Shop till you drop!
