After a drop in temperatures over the weekend and plenty of rain, I think we can now officially say spring has sprung!
Whiter shade of pale
Last week I went along to Builders Warehouse’s grand re-launch in Glen Eagles and bought quite a few trays of seedlings at a great price, including Impatiens and Petunias. I’m looking forward to some colour in my garden and pots but funnily enough, I always choose pale pink, mauve and white flowers and particularly like Impatiens, such a delicate flower which gives its best for months if kept well watered.
Well done Woolworths
Woolworths has made the decision to remove all sweets and chocolates from their checkout queues, reflecting their commitment to providing alternatives for children and parents. The rollout will start with all new Woolworths stores, as well as large format stores. I’m sure so many shoppers with children will be delighted about this and it will stop many children having a tantrum!
Heavenly products
Clicks’range of Oh So Heavenly now includes products for moms to be and babies. In the mom’s range, choose from Stretch Mark Oil, Nipple Crème, Body Wash, Body Lotion, Bath Soak and Leg and Foot Spray. All rounder
I’ve mentioned this guy before but really I’m so impressed with his work. Sipho is currently doing some tiling and paving at our home and he is an exceptional worker, very reliable and trustworthy. He’s competent in paving, tiling, painting and building. Last year when I mentioned him he said he had lots of calls but being on his own with a small workforce he couldn’t do all the jobs as quickly as many people wanted. “I like to be there when my team are working and I believe in giving a professional service to all my clients,” he said. Bouquet of the Week
Derek and Lina Jones from Glenvista give a huge bouquet to Eddie Bekker of Villa Lugano Guesthouse, who kindly sponsored the first prize for a gardening competition, which was a one night sleepover and breakfast.
