Are you really tired of living a small life?

"Whatever you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is exactly what you will experience in your life." - Tony Robbins

To accomplish great things in life we must first dream, then visualise, then plan, then believe and act! In my book, “You Are Born to Win”, I say you will never move from your current unhappy situation until you are sick and tired of it.

The day you really get sick and tired of being sick and tired is the day you stop making excuses about your unhappy situation, and do something about it. You have to die from who you are right now and give birth to who you are meant to be. It’s a decision you have to make.

What is living a small life?

Living a small life is when you settle for less than what you can get or deserve. What really frustrates me is when someone says the following:

1. Better the devil you know than the one you don’t know. This is a limited thinking at its best. This happens when someone really decides to settle for a relationship, job, or a situation which is killing him or her every day and surely, he/she deserves better. Saying you know how people are out there, only allows fear to deprive you of what you deserve.

2. Half a loaf of bread is better than nothing. This is the same as above. My goodness, it just drives me crazy. The person who says these words knows there’s a full loaf of bread out there but just settles for half of it. Settling for a 50 per cent when you could have achieved 100 per cent or 80 per cent at least, with more effort. This is an unhealthy mentality that needs to be changed.

3. Good things come to those who wait. The minute you realise that we don’t have thousand years to live, then it will dawn on you that you have to live in the moment. I have seen many people who are so unhappy and are waiting for someone to bring happiness to them. Wake up, it’s in you not someone else out there. For how long are you going to wait? Do it now!

Jim Rohn said: “When the end comes for you, let it find you conquering a new mountain, not sliding down an old one.” He couldn’t have said better. Keep on moving forward and don’t stop.

Let me tell you, you deserve more and better than what you have settled for right now. There is more in you than you can ever begin to imagine. So, stop sabotaging yourself and your dreams and start ridding your mind of these three toxic mind-sets. Grab a copy of “You Are Born to Win” and read more.
