To all the students in Grade 12 … the time has come, banquets are finally here! Hard work over the years has brought you to this point of excitement.
Months of planning have gone into the following:
Ladies – A designer dress, designer jewellery, getting your hair done, nails, make up, a partner. It’s that time when it’s all about Glitz and Glamour. Pearls and diamonds, heels and style, Ferrari’s and Limo’s.
Guys – It’s that time to get yourself a designer suit, shoes, fittings taking place, cologne that smells nice to impress the ladies. It’s time to be a stunner, and show your class.
Remember to be responsible, your safety is important. Do not take any drinks from strangers. To all the ladies; make sure that you are always in a group and never alone. Be responsible for every action; be aware of what is going on around you. Don’t make decisions that you will regret later.
You’ve dedicated 12 years of your life to schooling, and now it’s time to relax and enjoy that special moment and to start a new chapter in your life. New beginnings, new challenges, new opportunities.
Your parents are so proud of how far you’ve come and how far you will be going, remember these wise words from your parents, “I only want what’s best for you”, the morals and values that they have instilled in you will be the foundation to your future. Never forget where you come from and who stood by you through the toughest times.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for the future, dedication has brought you to this point and will take you further in the future. Most of all, be safe at your special night. Make it a memorable one.
