Women leave empowered and energised after event in Eikenhof

Cosmic Haven plans to host the second part of their women’s programme in December.

Cosmic Haven hosted a powerful gathering at Misty River in Eikenhof, honouring the courage and resilience of women from all walks of life.

The event, ‘Celebrating Women’s Courage and Resilience,’ was a testament to the transformative impact women have on their communities and the world.

Leola Rammble, director of Cosmic Haven, emphasized the significance of recognising women’s achievements and contributions, often made in the face of adversity.

“This day is dedicated to recognising the achievements and contributions of women across various spheres of life. Our work consistently emphasizes the pivotal role women play in shaping our societies, often overcoming significant challenges and barriers. We believe that women across all cultures, races, religions, and ages have stories of perseverance and success that must be shared, celebrated, and used to inspire others,” said Rammble.

The event featured a poignant discussion on trauma and coping mechanisms, urging attendees to acknowledge the emotional weight they carry.

Anton van Niekerk gave meditation sessions to the ladies.

“My invitation to you today is to be aware of the trauma living in your body. There is a consequence for us dawning and shutting down who we are. We can give ourselves diseases that will kill us,” said Kubeshni Govender, one of the speakers.

The gathering provided a safe space for women to share their stories, fostering a sense of hope and healing.

Attendees received a free massage.

These stories will be compiled into a booklet, laying the groundwork for Cosmic Haven’s upcoming programme in December. This initiative aims to empower women to unlock their potential and create lasting impact.

Sheetal Dhanjie from Sarvavidya Natyaalaya entertained the audience with her dancing.

To soothe the mind, body, and soul the event offered meditation, yoga, massage, poetry, and pampering.
