To promote the health and well-being of its staff, Sinqobile Equestrian Security Services in Eikenhof recently hosted a wellness day at its headquarters.
This year marks its 25th year of existence, and this initiative reflects the company’s commitment to creating a positive work environment and the growing recognition of the importance of employee wellness in the security industry.
The event featured health check-ups with the mobile local health facility, the launch of the company newsletter and the launch of one of their new units called the Crime Spotter Unit, whereby staff will use scooters to carry out their duties.
The trainees from the Eastern Cape, North West, Limpopo and Cape Town spent three months training.
Brand Management Administrator Mojalefa Phoofolo said: “The CEO, Chithwa Ndwandwe, and managing director, Ntonana Ndwandwe, aim to create employment for people coming from underprivileged backgrounds as they also come from underprivileged backgrounds, working as security guards and now owning their own security company.
“The staff spends most of their day at the office or occupied with their personal lives and rarely find time to get their health checked, so we thought of bringing healthcare to the staff.”
The wellness day, combined with the launch, was a success and marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth.
