Learners job shadow to raise funds and gain experience

The learners found the experience to be both enjoyable and educational.

On August 14, grades six, seven and eight learners from Pam’s Academy participated in a job shadow evening at Spur Columbine Square in Suideroord.

The learners were each assigned a waiter or waitress who then taught them how to be friendly to the customers, take food orders, serve the meals, clean the tables and overall ensure their customer’s evening was delightful.

This not only raises funds for the school but also forms part of the entrepreneurship requirements for their syllabus. It also helps the learners to experience what a job entails and the type of job that could be an option in their future.
