Marist Brothers Linmeyer junior councillors experience unforgettable Cape Town tour

The councillor tour was an enjoyable yet educational experience for both Grade 11 learners.

Marist Brothers Linmeyer is thrilled to announce that their junior councillors, Nomhle and Mulalo, both in Grade 11, had an unforgettable time on the Junior Council Cape Town tour.

This trip provided them with a unique opportunity to explore and learn about significant historical and cultural landmarks, while also bonding with their peers.

The tour was packed with exciting activities and educational experiences. The highlights included a lively performance at the Barnyard Theatre, that set the tone for an energetic and fun-filled trip.

The learners then visited Robben Island, where they gained a profound understanding of South Africa’s history and the enduring legacy of Nelson Mandela.

The Cape Town Holocaust Centre was another poignant stop, offering deep insights into the events of the holocaust and the importance of tolerance and human rights.

Nomhle and Mulalo thoroughly enjoyed every moment, from the adventurous explorations to the enlightening educational tours. They expressed their gratitude for the chance to participate in such a meaningful and enriching experience.

Marketing manager Tracy Edwards said, “We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this trip possible, including Ms G Verdonese junior council co-ordinator, and all those who supported the junior council initiative.
