If you have an interest in photography, the Southern Suburbs Camera Club is a great place to pursue it.

The Southern Suburbs Camera Club recently held their monthly club meeting to view incredible images submitted for review by the members.

Antonio Ferreira won the junior one-to-three-star category overall with his excellent photojournalistic sports image titled Catch me if you can.

The winning senior image of the evening, Baby Ellie at sunset, was captured by Kobus Yssel, a dedicated wildlife photographer, who shared more information about the shot, “I took this shot at a hide somewhere in the Pilansberg a few years ago.

The herd of elephants and I reached the hide together, so I was excited to get shooting because elephants never disappoint when it comes to photography. I appreciate and enjoy watching the interaction between the babies and the herd. This image caught my attention because the baby seemed surrounded by a forest of towering legs and trunks.

The Southern Suburbs Camera Club is a social club for all amateur and professional photographers and meets live on the second Thursday monthly at 18:45 at the Glenvista Camera Club.
