Winners Business Forum empowers communities with generous donations

Winners Business Forum made a difference in the lives of learners and communities with donations of essential items and food supplies.

In celebration of Human Rights Day, Winners Business Forum embarked on a heartfelt mission, spreading joy and essential support to schools and communities in need on March 21 and 22.

Their efforts were for Turfontein primary school, La Rochelle primary school, and Kenilworth High School, to which they donated school shoes, bathing towels, and toothbrushes. This act of kindness extended further when they gave much-needed food to the Booysens community.

According to John Dlomo, the chairperson of the forum, the decision to donate these essentials stemmed from a deep recognition of the needs in these communities.

“For us, giving back is not just a gesture; it is ingrained in our mission. We understand the impact even the simplest essentials can have on the lives of children and families facing financial challenges.

“The response from the recipients and the community was overwhelmingly positive. The learners, receiving new school shoes and hygiene essentials, were grateful. In Booysens, the food brought smiles and relief to many households. Such acts of generosity meet immediate needs and ignite hope and motivation in these communities.

“The joy and appreciation witnessed during these donations serve as a powerful motivation for us to continue our charitable initiatives. Knowing our efforts make a tangible difference fuels our commitment to serving those in need. We are dedicated to being a beacon of light in the communities where resources might be scarce.

Dlomo said these programmes will require continued support. The forum recognises the value of collaboration and sponsorship in carrying out their charitable purpose.

“We are contacting potential sponsors who can contribute food, shoes, or other essentials to bolster their efforts. With the backing of sponsors, we can amplify our impact and reach even more individuals and families in need.

“We are filled with gratitude and grateful for the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others. We are determined to keep the spirit of giving alive. Our actions exemplify the power of compassion and solidarity in building stronger and more resilient communities.
