From March 12 to April 21, the Peoples Theatre invites audiences to experience the enchanting stage adaptation of Disney’s My Son Pinocchio JR.

Known for delivering top-tier family entertainment, the Peoples Theatre promises to bring joy and laughter to audiences with this timeless classic.

This rendition of Disney’s beloved story follows toy maker Geppetto as he embarks on a journey beyond the toy shop to discover the true meaning of family.

Featuring iconic songs like When You Wish Upon a Star and I’ve Got No Strings, along with a captivating score by Oscar- and Grammy-award winner Stephen Schwartz, this production explores themes of identity, family, and what it means to be ‘real’.

Pinocchio’s tale is a magical blend of suspense, adventure and heartwarming moments.

Audiences will be captivated as they follow Pinocchio’s transformation from a wooden puppet to a real boy, guided by The Blue Fairy.

Produced and Directed by Jill Girard and Keith Smith, with Set Design by Grant Knottenbelt, Costumes by Luciano Zuppa, Choreography by Sandy Richardson Dyer, and Musical Direction by Coenraad Rall, My Son Pinocchio JR promises to be a dynamic and magical theatrical experience for the whole family.

Performances for schools are Tuesday to Friday at 09:00 and 11:00, while public show times on weekends and school holidays are at 10:30 and 14:30.

Ticket prices range from R130 to R165, with special rates for Peoples Theatre Kids Club members.
