Veli Ndaba publishes fifth book, The Neuroscience Of Effective Leadership

Author Veli Ndaba believes people have the power to become meaningful individuals as long as they act accordingly and put in the much-needed effort.

After completing four well-received books in which he aimed to alter people’s perspectives on life, Veli Ndaba recently launched his fifth book, The Neuroscience of Effective Leadership.

Ndaba is a fearless leader who combines his technical experience with his love of neuroscience and skills to create a body of work that will improve your leadership abilities.

Ndaba’s mission is to enable and uplift others to find their purpose, gain clarity, and become the best versions of themselves.

He told the Alberton Record that the most rewarding part of his latest book is how he outlined it and how simple he made a very complex subject.

“This book aims to transform minds from mental darkness to mental light because one achieves dreams in mental light. Authoring these books over the years was a means of helping people realise their dreams.

“I found my voice early in life by working hard and growing personally. Since I have experienced mental darkness myself, I desire to release others from it, and believe I have the right to speak about it,” he said.

About the author

Ndaba earned a national diploma in mechanical engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Johannesburg.

He started his career in the corporate sector and quickly advanced to a managerial position thanks to his diligence. But he sensed something was not right.

Ndaba has a good balance of understanding and enthusiasm for personal and professional growth.

He launched his company in 2011 and specialised in corporate training and life and business coaching.

He became a member of Toastmasters, a leadership and communication organisation. He finally rose to the position of club president in his hometown and now travels the nation giving inspirational talks.

“The world faces three enemies – stress, anxiety and depression. So, doing my motivational talks, I don’t just want to make long speeches. I want people to see me as a motivation because I am doing everything I can to change how people think and see things,” the author said.

His first book You Are Born To Win was published in 2015, followed by Your Dream Is Calling You in 2016, with his third book Switch On released in 2018, and the fourth, Set Your Soul On Fire, published in 2020.

The Neuroscience of Effective Leadership was made available in 2023.

“As you can see, my books are all linked to enabling one to reach their desired dreams and unleash the innate ability to make every wish come true. One thing that guided my thoughts on this trip was my desire to provide a good example for others to follow in terms of success. Even though my story is sad, success comes from using it to inspire others and create an upbeat atmosphere,” Ndaba said.

He further told the Alberton Record that, in reality, life does not give you what you want but what you are. Therefore, it is crucial to have good habits because no one is born with bad or good ones, but people adapt to their environmental habits controlled by human behaviours.

“Something engineering has taught me is to always look deeper into things and not rush to the solution. People resist change because they often do not know what to expect in future because of fears, so it is important for people to read this book because it will change how they do things,” Ndaba said.

He said he uses the Veli Ndaba Neuro Engineering Effect, a methodology based on basic engineering and neuroscience concepts.

The book costs R300. For more information, call Ndaba on 083 304 9773.
